The Hillsborough/Orange County Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting nominations for its business awards.

Each year, the Chamber recognizes the Business of the Year, Businessperson of the Year and gives the Helping Hand Award.
Candidates for Business of the Year are area businesses that are always ready to lend a hand to an effort, to sponsor an event and to provide support for their employees. Candidates for Businessperson of the Year would be an individual who always goes the extra mile to help out, who does a great job and is active in the community. The Helping Hand Award recipient will be an organization, an individual, a business, a school or a non-profit that has volunteered their time and efforts to “give back” to the community. Nominees will be judged mainly on their contribution to the greatest number of Orange County citizens.
In 2013, the Business of the Year was the Hillsborough Pharmacy, Business Person of the Year was Kate Carroll of Radius Pizzeria and Pub, and the Helping Hand Award went to the Tori Reid, Ph.D., of Right at Home.
